Note on a corkboard for plan

It was about you.

If you look at Edgemont Chiropractic Clinic’s schedule, you will notice Dr. Olson and I work when the other doesn’t.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays, our times overlap, so when we do see one another, it is usually a short friendly hello while we are either completing your treatment notes or reviewing your Treatment Plan for when we are to see you that day. Our focus is on you.

Yesterday, I arrived earlier than usual, and Dr Olson had completed his Tuesday morning clinic notes. I asked him how he was. Most people reply about themselves, their lives. Dr. Olson’s face lit up. He replied about how happy he was with the progress of all his patients.

After 40+ years practicing as a chiropractor, Dr. Olson has a first-year graduate’s caring and enthusiasm for each of his patients’ well-being.  It was really fun to listen to.  (Chiropractors are the happiest of all healthcare providers.  We rate about 9 out of 10 on the happiness scale.)

Happiness professionally is often a reflection of success.  Success is twofold with our patients.

It is created by experience.

To master any skill, it is said that you must practice it about 10,000 times. Dr. Olson has most likely performed over 500,000 treatments and I have about 250,000. I began as a chiropractor a bit later in life…

It is created by the completion of your specific Treatment Plan.

This is what we give to you after we have considered your history and thorough physical examination.

We know that without a completed Treatment Plan, how well you become may not be obtained or lasting. That is not a success for you or for us.

The importance of following a chiropractic Treatment Plan is significant for several reasons. Firstly, chiropractic treatments are often designed to address the underlying causes of your pain and discomfort rather than just masking symptoms. By sticking to the Treatment Plan, you can experience long-term relief and improved overall wellness.

Secondly, chiropractic care is based on the concept of regular chiropractic adjustments to promote optimal spinal alignment and nerve function. The Treatment Plan usually starts with twice-weekly treatments for a month to relieve you of the most serious pain. By following the Treatment Plan, you can maintain these adjustments and support your body's natural healing processes. Consistency is key to achieving the desired results.

Additionally, chiropractic Treatment Plans often include rehabilitative exercises and lifestyle modifications, such as stretching, strengthening exercises, posture correction, and ergonomic changes. These recommendations are crucial for enhancing the effectiveness of chiropractic adjustments and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Furthermore, by adhering to the Treatment Plan, you develop a stronger partnership with us, your chiropractor. Regular visits allow for ongoing monitoring of progress, adjustments to the treatment plan if necessary, and open communication about any concerns or questions. This collaboration promotes better outcomes and builds trust between you and us, your chiropractor.

Lastly, following your chiropractic Treatment Plan helps prevent future injuries or relapses. By maintaining regular adjustments and implementing recommended exercises and lifestyle modifications, you can strengthen your body, improve your posture, and minimize the risk of recurring issues.

In summary, the importance of following your chiropractic Treatment Plan lies in its ability to provide you with long-term relief, support your body's natural healing processes, optimize your spinal alignment and nerve function, promote a healthy lifestyle, build a strong, trusting relationship between us, and prevent future injuries or relapses.
